Using audio recordings to write your minutes
Getting started
If you have an audio or video recording of a meeting you can upload it to Improval and ImprovAI will transcribe the recording and add minutes and / or a summary for you. You can upload several files if you have more than one file.
For this example we will look at the demo user of Ella Thompson who is founder of a tech startup. She recorded the audio from the following meeting.
The first step is to select Upload audio recording from the Actions menu. Then upload your audio / video file.
You will then see that the audio file is being processed for transcription. There is also the option to upload more files if relevant.
Once the transcription is finished the status will change to completed and a View link will appear. Click through and you will be taken to a screen where you set which speaker is which for the transcription.
If you have more than one file uploaded you will be asked to set the speakers for each one. Once you have done this you will be able to see (and play back if required) the transcripts stored against the meeting.
On the Actions menu there should now be the option to Summarise the meeting from the transcript. If there are no minutes yet you will also have the option Make minutes from the transcript. This will also add any actions and assign them to the relevant attendee if that is appropriate.
Below are the results from the example meeting.
