Course title: 1/3/5 Year Business Planning

Course summary: To help practice teams understand where they are now, make good decisions for the future, and create a practical business plan that supports their patients and their team.

Course aims and objectives:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Assess their current practice position and make informed decisions about future goals, aspirations, and readiness for change.
  • Ensure that practice values and ethos are fully aligned with decision‑making processes, leadership behaviours, and team development.
  • Review and prioritise strategies for issues within their control and create contingency measures for external factors outside their control.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to maintain and enhance the quality of patient services.
  • Apply a structured framework to create a live, practical business plan tailored to their practice.

Who should attend?

The course is designed for everyone involved in the future planning within their practice. This can be GP partners, practice managers, finance managers or salaried GPs with an interest in developing their skills for future partnership.

Our systems resilience courses are generally suited just for General Practice. Contractual aspects will be based on the England Standard General Medical Services (GMS) Contract. Please contact us before booking if you have any queries about suitability.

 Course Format

This training will be run over Zoom, a joining link will be shared with you a few days before the event.

To participate you will need to install Zoom on your device, and ensure it has a working microphone, speaker, and camera.

It will be an interactive session, allowing opportunity for small group discussions.
